The 2022 Dong Thap Red Lotus Marathon will take place from November 26 to 27

On November 26-27, 2022, at Van Mieu Square, Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province, the opening ceremony of the 2022 Dong Thap Red Lotus Marathon with the theme “Beyond the Waves Reaching Out”. The event was attended by about 3,000 athletes from provinces, cities and industries across the country. The prize was awarded by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province in collaboration with Nexus Media Joint Stock Company. Organized by Ben Thanh General Culture Joint Stock Company.

It is expected that the route of the race distances (5km, 10km, 21km) will take place on November 27, 2022 on the roads of Cao Lanh city, the distance of 42 km will start in Sa Dec city. and finished in Cao Lanh city. Registration for the competition is open in three phases. Phase 1 (Early Bird): From September 29, 2022 to October 14, 2022; Phase 2 (Regular): From October 15, 2022 to November 14, 2022; Phase 3 (Late): From November 15, 2022 to November 25, 2022.

This is an important event on culture, sports and tourism, aiming to propagate and promote tourism, especially Green Tourism; creating conditions for tourists to both visit, experience and explore the scenery in Dong Thap province. At the same time, propagandize and raise people’s awareness about physical training and sports to improve health, stature and quality of life; continue to respond to the campaign “All people exercise their bodies following the great Uncle Ho’s example” in the province in the period of 2021 – 2030.

In particular, the 2022 Dong Thap Red Lotus Marathon in collaboration with Operation Smile Vietnam launched a ticket registration program to raise money for the fund to bring smiles and change the lives of children with disabilities. born on the face in Dong Thap. Each participating athlete will contribute VND 50,000 to Operation Smile Vietnam to operate smile surgery for underprivileged children in Dong Thap. For every 1000 runners participating in the run, the sponsor and the organizer will donate cash or in kind to charity programs implemented by Operation Smlie Vietnam.

Through the activities, the Organizing Committee of the Prize promotes propaganda, promotion, tourism promotion and introduces the image of Dong Thap province to the people of the country; at the same time, propagandize and mobilize organizations and individuals participating in tourism activities towards jointly preserving and promoting the benefits from tourism resources that nature brings.
